The project supports Sunnyview’s people and ideas by enhancing our infrastructure, translating ingenuity into action, enabling Sunnyview to deliver on our promise – to help patients get back to living life.
Highlights
- Transforming Sunnyview’s 3East unit, serving our cardiopulmonary patients
- 18,000 sq foot project; adding 6,000 sq ft and renovating 12,000 sq ft
- Remodeling 24 patient rooms, eliminating triple and quadruple occupancy rooms
- Renovating the nurses’ stations; adding spaces for meetings with families and hospitality areas; adding storage space and providing an additional 28 highly sought-after parking spaces
- Featuring a new 1,280 sq foot therapy gym

Opportunity
Determined to provide consistent 21st century patient experience, Sunnyview committed to renovating this 55-year-old nursing unit to align with our greater campus infrastructure. This is a $10.8M project; the Sunnyview Foundation raised $3.9M from corporate and private philanthropy to support this advancement.
