William Brown has been creating art with watercolors and acrylics since he retired. When he developed macular degeneration and could no longer paint, he discovered that he could use yarn as a tactile media. As a student at the Braille Institute in Anaheim, CA, William began to create pictures using a stretched canvas, glue, and yarn. The tactile yarn allows him to work with his hands and doesn’t require the coordination of a brush on canvas.
